PROPERTY OFFICER (WESTERN)

The position will be based at the Authority’s Navutu Office in Lautoka and will report to Property Officer Central / Unit Leader Strategic Procurement, Inventories & Properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and monitoring all the services for EFL properties including air condition maintenance, fire protection services, security services, cleaning services, upkeep/depot services, pest control services, sanitation and hygiene services for Western region;
  • Monitor and review all service contracts on a timely basis;
  • Liaise with service providers in improving services reliability and efficiency;
  • Coordinate timely works and services for all EFL properties in the Western region;
  • Assist in development of clear program objectives in relation to building, maintenance, property management, corporate purchasing and management of other assets and undertake annual review of existing programs to evaluate their efficiency and effectiveness in meeting those objectives;
  • Prepare tender documents for services pertaining to properties and call for tender/quotes in line with Supply Chain policies and procedures;
  • Prepare maintenance program and coordinate repair works for the properties and update the physical condition of the properties;
  • Assist in yearly budget for operational and capital projects for the Properties Section West and manage expenditure against budget throughout the year;
  • Facilitate and action complaints on property related Health & Safety action items;
  • Ensure the company policies and procedures are consistently applied to required standards;
  • Assist in implementing appropriate assessments and work order management systems to record the operations of buildings and property asset management programs according to OHS requirements;
  • Provide monthly and quarterly update regarding properties to the Unit Leader Strategic Procurement, Inventory & Properties and to the General Manager Commercial;
  • Carry out other delegated duties as assigned by the Unit Leader Strategic Procurement, Inventories & Properties and the General Manager Commercial.

Key Requirements

  • The candidate must have a Certificate in Building, Carpentry & Civil Works or related trade discipline with a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in building services or property Management/project related work.
  • A good knowledge of computing (Microsoft Office) is essential.
  • A valid full Group two driver’s license (not provisional) will be an added advantage.
