The position will be based at the Energy Fiji Limited’s Kinoya Depot and will report to the General Manager Generation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure efficient operation and maintenance of all the Thermal Generation Power Stations to ensure all the generators are available for operation;
• Lead and manage the Thermal Generation Department and ensure strict adherence to work procedures;
• Ensure that all the thermal generation power stations operations comply to the operational standard;
• Maintain an accurate database of all the Thermal Generation Assets and manage such assets, tools and equipments;
• Ensure effective and efficient Management of  fuel & lubrication oils;
• Prepare Budgets for the Thermal Generation Department;
• Ensure efficient Daily Generation Plan;
• Prepare and submit Management  and Board Reports as required;
• Facilitate training to up-skill & provide multi-skilling capabilities to maintain right number of people at any time to ensure safe, effective & efficient operation & maintenance of Generation plants;
• Prepare Tender and manage Contracts;
• Carry out any other work assigned by the General Manager Generation.

Key Requirements:

• The incumbent should have a Degree in Engineering with at least five (5) to eight (8) years of work experience in power generation;
• The person must have thorough knowledge and experience in power generation operations and maintenance especially diesel engine power generation;
• Experience in asset & project management will be an advantage;
• The incumbent must have a valid Group 2 (not provisional) driver’s license.
