The position will be based at the Energy Fiji Limited’s Nadarivatu and will report to the Team Leader Renewable Generation/Station Technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all safety procedures in place are adhere to according to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the EFL’s Safety rules and procedures.
• Carry out daily food preparation/cooking of EFL staff on-site.
• Carry routine cleaning of staff quarters, office and amenities on-site.
• Carry out laundry service as required.
• Ensure prudent inventory management and control of household items.
• Responsible for the items receiving, issuing, recording and transactions for the staff quarters.
• Maintain amicable relations with landowners & contractors.
• Ensure security of properties.
• Carry out regular team fire & evacuation drills with team.
• Report any concern relating to the staff quarters safety and security.
• Maintain proper management of cooking & eating utensils, cleaning items, beddings and furniture.
• Responsible for upkeep of staff quarters.
• Assist the overall generation team when required.
• Required to be on general availability and roster to work during weekends.
• Carry out any other work as required by the Technician or Team Leader Renewable Generation.
• Display EFL values and standards at all times

Key Requirements:

• A Certificate in Cooking / Hotel Catering or proven minimum of three year’s work experience in similar role;
• Good communication skills in English;
• Computer literate;
• Needs to be physically fit, be an excellent Planner and organizer; good communication skills, team player, be able to meet deadlines, and to live the EFL Values at all times.
