VAC 31/23 - TEAM LEADER HUMAN RESOURCES SERVICES (WESTERN)

2 June 2023

The position will be based at the Energy Fiji Limited’s Navutu Depot and will report to the Manager Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead an efficient and effective human resource services measured against the performance management system (Business, Customer, People and Technical):
    • Human resource services budgeting and budget management;
    • HRIS/Payroll operations and services;
    • Human resource management (HRM) services and system administrator;

    • Workforce planning and change management for EFL;

  • Human Resource services provided:
    • Structure design and role identification;
    • HRM services including role design/evaluation, performance management and recruitment;
    • Training and development including Induction;

    • Professional HRM advice and services including investigations;

  • Compliant human resource management in EFL;
    • Compliance audits;

    • Advisory services on HR compliance;

  • Informed executive and Board in relation to Human Resources;
    • Monthly statistical reports - HR strength, leave and penalty costs;
    • HRM liability costs e.g. accrued leave;
    • HRM financial reporting e.g. budget variance;

    • HRM Technical reports including new initiatives;

  • Growing and developing HRM within EFL;
    • Improving HR procedure compliance;
    • Growing staff satisfaction and working relationships - 360 degree;
    • Developing technical / new HR initiatives;
    • Growing accountability for and efficiency in utilization of employees across EFL;

    • Improvement in advisory services / customer satisfaction;

  • Work cooperative within the employee / industrial relations, learning and OH&S functions to achieve common objectives;
  • Display and encourage EFL image and value standards demonstrated at all times;
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by the General Manager Human Resources.

Achieve Results The ability to monitor progress against performance expectations in ensuring deadlines are met, communicate outcomes to General Manager Human Resources and HRSBA Managers, apply and develop capabilities to meet performance expectations, demonstrate knowledge of new programs, products or services relevant to the position, work to agreed priorities, outcomes and resources and be responsive to changes in requirements are fundamental to this role.

Key Requirements:

  • The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Management from a recognized tertiary institute;
  • The candidate must have 5 years of progressive HR experience with a concentration on Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Training and Development and Innovation Management;
  • Supervisory experience overseeing various HR support roles preferred;
  • Previous experience overseeing the employee relations of a large number of employees is highly desirable;
  • Ability to communicate with employees at all levels (both verbal and written communication skills);
  • Good computer skills including experience with Human Resources Self Service (HRSS) and applicant tracking systems; ability to develop spreadsheets and reports to analyze market trending.
