Fatiaki Amoe Gibson is a seasoned energy and infrastructure leader with over 30 years of experience across the Pacific’s power and renewable energy sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of the South Pacific.

Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Gibson has held key executive roles at the former Fiji Electricity Authority (now Energy Fiji Limited), including General Manager Major Projects and Project Director for several landmark initiatives such as the US$150 million Nadarivatu Renewable Energy Project and the 35MW Kinoya Heavy Fuel Oil Power Station.

Beyond Fiji, he has served in strategic advisory roles with the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank, and Pacific Island governments, supporting the development and financing of renewable energy investments. Most recently, he led the coordination of Fiji’s Renewable Energy Integration Investment Plan, securing US$31.5 million through the Climate Investment Funds.

Appointed to the EFL Board in 2024, Mr. Gibson served as Chair of the Human Resources and Tender Committees and was an active member of the Major Projects Sub-Committee. He is recognized for his ability to deliver complex infrastructure projects efficiently and for his commitment to sustainable development and community engagement.

In April 2025, Mr. Gibson was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Energy Fiji Limited. With a proven track record of innovation, integrity, and visionary leadership, he is well positioned to guide EFL through its clean energy transition and into a more resilient and sustainable future.
