Epeli has over 20 years of experience in the Energy Sector, of which 12 years were spent serving in EFL in the Generation Strategic Business Area as a Mechanical Engineer and Manager Thermal Generation. Epeli also has experience with the Ministry of Works as a Services Engineer, and served in the Gas Industry as Project Engineer at BP South West Pacific and as the National Operations Manager at Fiji Gas Pte Ltd.

Epeli possesses a Master in Business Administration from the University of the South Pacific, a Master of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Melbourne., and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honors) from Monash University in Melbourne.

Epeli is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI).
