Naomi Baleca
Naomi joined EFL in July 2001 as the first female Graduate Electrical Engineer and has risen the ranks over the years, serving in various roles within the organization’s Strategic Business Areas, ranging from key Engineering Operations – in the field of Network (Transmission & Distribution), Network Design, Standards & System Planning, to Corporate Services – managing the organization’s Fleet, Property & Administration activities, and Customer Services – managing the Regulatory function of EFL, in compliance with the Electricity Act & Subsidiary Regulations.
Naomi has attained, over the years, a Master in Business Administration from the University of the South Pacific, a Master of Engineering Studies from Auckland University of Technology, a Bachelor of Engineering – Electrical & Electronic (Honors) degree from James Cook University of North Queensland, and most recently, a Certificate IV in Resilience (Climate Change Adaptation & Disaster Risk Reduction) from the University of the South Pacific in April 2024.
Naomi is a member of the Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and an advocate and member of Women in Engineering and Women in Energy affiliated with IEEE & USEA.
