The position will be based at the Energy Fiji Limited’s Navutu Depot, Lautoka and will report to the Manager Civil.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in inspection, witness of testing and provide coordination for commissioning of completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and adopted work standards related to building and civil engineering;
• Provide design review support for civil related projects and supervision of construction and maintenance works;
• Perform Clerk of Works/Project Supervisors role in delivery of all civil related projects, from concept to commissioning.
• Assist in the preparation of scheduled quantities of civil projects;
• Assist in the compilation of technical data for deign works;
• Assist in the tender document preparation,
• Assist the Civil Engineers in the preparation of Annual Budgets for projects and SBA;
• Carry out construction supervision works for the various infrastructure projects, which could also include maintenance projects;
• Assist in the preparation of inspection reports and special reports as and when required.
• Conduct any liaison or consultation with statutory authorities or undertakers as necessary to implement the construction of the project
• Be able to travel widely around all EFL installations including project sites. Must have the ability to be away from base station for project durations.
• Maintain compliance to Occupational Health and Safety systems on site and for all department works
• Any other duties as assigned by Manager Civil and General Manager Special Projects.

Key Requirements:

• Advance Diploma/ Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University
• Excellent communication skills (written and spoken);
• 3-5 years relevant work experience
• Must be familiar with local Statuary laws
• Member or be eligible to become a member of a Professional Engineering body will be advantageous;
• Valid (not provisional) driving license;
• Must continuously live the EFL values and maintain the EFL image at all times.
