The position will be based at the Energy Fiji Limited’s Navutu Depot and will report to the Team Leader GIS.                                   

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare electrical wiring and schematic drawings;
• Prepare Network Construction drawings of new distribution extension;
• Regular updating of 11 kV Single Line Diagrams for NCC and GIS Server;
• Prepare detail drawings for all types of installation governed by EFL;
• Assist in the establishment and updating of system records and “AS INSTALLED” drawings;
• Prepare graphs, flow charts, work programs etc;
• Assist in printing, scanning and filing of drawings;
• Apply Electrical theory knowledge to recognize problem which may arise in the course of his duties;
• Attend to customer enquiries on electrification extension work;
• Assist in the gathering of distribution field data using GPS and compiling of other GIS data;
• Ensure at all times that HSE considerations in all facets of activities are of top priority;
• Assist the GIS team in carrying out its role diligently and efficiently;
• Carry out other delegated duties as assigned by the Team Leader GIS or Manager Network Design and Planning.

Key Requirements:

• A Diploma in Electrical or Civil Engineering from a recognized tertiary  institution;
• At least three (3) year experience in similar role in an Electrical Utility or Consultancy;
• Comprehensive working knowledge of AUTOCAD Software and sound computer skills is a must;
• Working knowledge of GIS equipment and GIS Software is highly desirable;
• A valid Group two (not provisional) driver’s license is mandatory.
